BVJ Small Town Saturday Night 2017: Branding and Design
The Need: The Small Town Saturday Night contest was a chance for a rural Alberta community to win a night of BVJ magic in their hometown. Organizers needed a brand capturing the thrill of the event and a web presence allowing for province wide voting, to determine the winning small town.
The Solution: We created visuals expressing the event’s exclusivity, and developed a province-wide voting system to engage Albertans.
The Result: The new brand and the chance for an exclusive BVJ experience drew in people from across Alberta. Online voting captured a shift in local and regional allegiance, as towns formerly opposed banded together in support of their county and eventually their region. You could see it by sampling front end engagement and through the visual arc of data captured by web analytics. Over the course of the contest, more than 250,000 votes were cast in support of over 30 participating communities.
